Description
Discover the charm of the Yukon Territory on a guided half-day trip from Skagway as you travel up the Klondike Highway. Pass through the unbridled nature of British Columbia. Later, visit a dogsledding camp and learn about the history of sledding in Canada and Alaska while you meet Husky puppies.
Begin your tour as the 1898 Gold Rush stampeders once did, journeying from Skagway and through the White Pass. Drive along the Klondike Highway and admire the scenic forests, waterfalls, and wildlife. Views of the White Pass Railroad evoke a nostalgic mood in the shadow of glacier-covered mountains.
Next, enter Canada's province of British Columbia. As you drive, take in the sights of the subarctic alpine tundra that marks out Tormented Valley. Catch a glimpse of Summit Lake before you go on to pause at Canada Customs in Fraser.
Continue your tour as you enter the Yukon Territory. Head to the Tagish Lake Dog Sledding Camp and discover the world of dogsledding firsthand. Meet trainers and mushers, see the dogs in action, and visit with puppies. Before you return to Skagway, visit the gift shop for a souvenir.
