Description

Go on a journey to the east side of the Cascade Mountains from Seattle, and take advantage of the rainshadow effect to keep you drier (or snowier!). See Leavenworth and explore the holiday shops and decor before heading back to Seattle. First, travel to the Snoqualmie Pass where you will stop to enjoy some warm drinks and a picturesque hike or snowshoe walk along a level forested trail to stretch the legs and enjoy the views. The trail for the day will be determined by the guide based upon snow level and conditions. Never snowshoed before? Your guide will provide an introductory lesson and helpful tips to get you started on the right foot. Next, tuck back into your tour vehicle en route to the Bavarian town of Leavenworth, tucked among the Cascade Mountains and blanketed in the winter spirit. Once you arrive, take in the hundreds of thousands of holiday lights strung about, eternal Christmas stores, and snow frosted trees. Enjoy a couple hours to wander the town at your leisure. Be sure to pack your wallet, and indulge in a local lunch while you explore. You can also opt to wander around Blackbird Island and through the festive streets of downtown. Finally, meet back up with your guide at the designated time and begin the journey back across the beautiful Cascades and into Seattle, just in time to find dinner on your own.

Important Information

• Please inform the tour operator if you have any allergies or dietary restrictions at least 48 hours prior to the tour
• There will be a morning hike or snowshoe walk of approximately 1.5-2.5 miles on a level to mild elevation trail
• We require water-resistant/waterproof boots when this is a snowshoe tour. Let us know if you don't have adequate shoes - we have a small rental inventory
• You will have approximately 3 hours to explore Leavenworth and find lunch on your own in town • Pickup is between 7:30 - 8 AM
• Pickup and drop-off is available from downtown Seattle hotels or the Sheraton Grand Hotel, at 1400 6th Ave, Seattle
• Pickup options in Bellevue and Issaquah are available, please inquire for location
